AUDlib is a freeware library for Allegro to play your favourite songs (.AUD files) from Dune 2000, Command & Conquer, Red Alert and other Westwood releases. You can also use it to play any .AUD files you create, so you can have great quality music in your own games with low CPU usage, and 4:1 compression ratio.

Note: Nowadays, you'd be better off using Ogg Vorbis or MP3 files. They should be smaller and of higher quality, with the only drawback being that they require more CPU time. There are other Allegro addons to play .oggs and .mp3s. Check the links at
